About LuneClown

A few years ago, I fell in love with storytelling — the kind that pulls you into worlds that feel lived-in, where the history is heavy and the characters carry it on their backs. Fantasy. Ancient China. Stories with weight.

So I started writing one.

My first novel got contracted on WebNovel. That sounds like a win — and it was, for a moment. But contracts don't protect you from your own mistakes. Pacing that wandered too long. Story decisions that slowly lost the reader's trust. I watched the numbers drop over six months and had to be honest with myself about why.

So I stopped. Took stock. And started over.

I'm LuneClown — an amateur writer still very much in the middle of learning the craft. English isn't my first language, and writing fiction in it is its own challenge on top of everything else. But there's something about the process of building worlds in a language that still surprises me that keeps it interesting.

My home is in fantasy and ancient China fiction — the epic, the political, the human stories buried inside big histories. That's what I want to write. That's what I'm slowly figuring out how to write well.

This site is where I document that journey — the brainstorming, the false starts, the craft lessons learned the hard way, and eventually, the stories I'm actually proud of. For the readers who come along for the ride, and for the writers somewhere on the same messy road.
